Paradise City vs Sydney Assassins

Last Saturday, for our second bout we travelled from the Gold Coast down to Sydney.  In an extremely physical, hard fought Roller Derby bout against Sydney Assassins, we came out on top 129 – 160.  Massive thanks to Sydney for hosting and to all the NSO’s, refs and everyone else that made the bout possible.

Our First Bout as Paradise City Roller Derby

As the newest Roller Derby league on the Gold Coast, it was such an honour to play the amazing Northern Brisbane Rollers in our first bout as Paradise City Roller Derby.  It was fast, hard fought Roller Derby at it’s best.  The final score NBR 281 – PCRD 56 gives us a starting point – we look forward to many more bouts in the future.  Thanks NBR for hosting!

Sharing the love

Since creating our league, all of us at Paradise City Roller Derby have been absolutely blown away with the support we have received from the wider Roller Derby community. Our more established sister leagues in Queensland and Northern NSW have all been there to offer us scrimmages, games, boot camp opportunities and words of encouragement. All of us at Paradise City Roller Derby are so grateful for your support and encouragement and we can’t wait to see you all track side.

Training Venues

It’s been a hectic few weeks but our vision for a sport focused roller derby league on the Gold Coast has been realised. We have found new homes for derby on the Gold Coast with Paradise City Roller Derby training taking place at both the Tallebudgera Indoor Sport Centre and Nerang PCYC. If you’re interested in coming along to one of our trainings just get in touch.

Boot Camp in Coffs.

Here at Paradise City Roller Derby we are getting ready for one heck of a road trip down south for an all day boot camp with the wonderful Coffs Coast Derby Dolls. We look forward to training with skaters from leagues across regional NSW.  It should be fun times!
